Accessing, creating and viewing a new owner asset

An owner is the entity or individual that owns and operates a commercial truck or a fleet of trucks, which may be used for transporting goods or providing freight services. Owners usually receive the agreed percentage from the order revenue. In this article the steps on how to view, create and manage owner asset will be presented.

When creating a new owner asset, firstly, make sure that owners create permission is enabled. This guarantees that users have the necessary access rights to initiate the asset creation process within the system. If permissions are not granted, ask your company admin for assistance.

Accessing Owners asset

  • To access the asset, firstly go to Assets and then select Owners:

  • The number 57 near the Owners indicates how many owner assets there are at the moment;

  • Owners window will be shown, where the current owners will be visible:

Adding a new Owner asset

  • To add a new owner press on Add Owner at the top of the screen;

  • A new window will pop up where the general information about the owner has to be added:

    • Owner name;

    • Contracting company;

    • Recruiter;

    • Select if it is a person or a company:

      • For Personal owner enter the SSN (social security number);

      • For Company owner enter Tax ID number;

  • After the general information is added press on Next and add Contact information:

    • Add Address details;

    • Select if the owner has a separate mailing address and enter it;

    • Add Phone number;

    • Enter the Email address:

  • When Contact information is added add Compensation information:

    • Enter Pay percent;

    • Line Haul (the amount of percentage, that was agreed on - similarly like in baseline compensation. The Line Haul percentage is calculated from flat rate);

    • Fuel Surcharge;

    • Accessorials;

    • If needed press on Workers compensation needed and add the details of the compensation (this means including information about the workers' compensation insurance policy that covers the employees associated with the owner. Workers' compensation is a type of insurance that provides financial benefits to employees who are injured or become ill as a result of their job. It helps cover their medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and a portion of their lost wages)

      • When selected this option add workers compensation number;

      • Workers compensation expiration date;

  • After the information is added press on Finish.

Viewing Owner asset

  • To view the additional information, press on the magnifying glass icon on a specific Owner asset:

  • The additional information will be visible:

  • To see more information about the drivers and trucks that are operating under the specific owner, press on the asset and the information will pop up:

  • To delete the owner asset press on Delete owner.
