Overview

When managing legs in 10Speed TMS, you can quickly access detailed driver and truck information without leaving the leg management screen. This helps dispatchers verify driver qualifications, check truck details, review safety records, and manage driver communications - all in one place.

Quick Answer: Click the blue button with the driver and truck icons in the leg management screen to view comprehensive driver and truck information, including status, assignments, financial details, safety records, documents, and more.


Accessing Driver and Truck Information

When you're working with a leg, you'll see a blue button displaying driver and truck icons. Click this button to open a panel where you can view both driver and truck details.

  1. Click the blue button with the driver and truck icons

  2. Select View Truck

  3. A new window opens with detailed truck information

What You'll See

The truck information window displays:

  • Basic truck details: Unit number, make, model, year

  • Specifications: Weight capacity, dimensions, equipment type

  • Current status: Available, in use, maintenance

Viewing Driver Information

How to Access Driver Details

  1. Click the blue button with the driver and truck icons

  2. Select View Driver

  3. A new window opens with comprehensive driver information organized into tabs

Driver Overview

At the top of the driver information window, you'll see:

  • Driver name (first and last name)

  • Current status with the ability to change it:

  • Active

  • Inactive

  • Vacation

To change driver status: Click on the current status and select a new one from the dropdown.


Driver Information Tabs

General Tab

The General tab contains comprehensive driver information organized into sections:

Basic Information

  • Phone number

  • Email address

  • Home address

  • Birth date

  • Driver's starting date (hire date)

Assignment Details

  • Driver Type: Company driver, owner-operator, lease operator

  • Company: Which company the driver is assigned to

  • Truck: Current truck assignment

  • Division: Business division assignment

  • Manager: Assigned manager

  • Recruiter: Recruiting contact

Driver's License Information

  • License number

  • License state (issuing state)

  • License expiration date

  • Next physical examination date

  • Review date

  • Clearinghouse review date

CDL Endorsements

  • (P) Passenger Transport

  • (S) School Bus/Passenger Transport Combo

  • (T) Double/Triples

  • (N) Tank Vehicle

  • (H) Hazardous Materials

  • (X) Tanker/HAZMAT

Editing Information

To edit or add information in the General tab:

  1. Click the pen icon next to the section you want to edit

  2. Make your changes

  3. Save the updated information

Pay Details

Pay Type Options:

  • Per Mile: Driver is paid per mile driven

  • Loaded miles rate

  • Empty miles rate

  • Per Hour: Driver is paid hourly

  • Per Day: Driver is paid a daily rate

  • Percent: Driver receives a percentage of load revenue

Tax Classification:

  • Individual (W-2 employee)

  • Corporation (1099 contractor)


Financial Tab

The Financial tab shows driver deductions and referrals. Can add and manage deductions, create driver referrals


Safety Tab

The Safety tab displays the driver's safety record and compliance information.

Accidents

View accident history including:

  • Accident ID number: Unique identifier for the incident

  • Accident Category: Type/severity of accident

  • Terminal: Location where driver was based

  • Assignee: Person handling the accident case

  • Date: When the accident occurred

Inspections

Review roadside inspection records:

  • Category of inspection: Level I, II, III, etc.

  • Type of inspection: Random, targeted, weigh station

  • Assignee: Compliance person managing follow-up

  • Date: Inspection date


Imaging Tab

The Imaging tab stores all scanned documents related to the driver.

Viewing Documents

  1. Select a document category from the folder list

  2. All documents in that category will be displayed

  3. Click a document to view or download it

Adding New Documents

  1. Click the plus icon (+) on the right side

  2. Select the document type from the dropdown:

  • License copies

  • Medical cards

  • Certifications

  • Insurance documents

  • Training records

  • Accident reports

  • Other documents

  1. Upload the file

  2. The document appears in the selected folder

Notes Tab

The Notes tab allows you to view and add notes about the driver.

Viewing Notes

  1. Click the Notes tab

  2. Select a notes folder to view notes in that category

  3. Notes are displayed in chronological order

Adding New Notes

  1. Click the blue plus icon (+) on the right side

  2. A new notepad appears

  3. Type your note

  4. Save the note

When to use notes:

  • Document conversations with the driver

  • Record issues or concerns

  • Note driver preferences (routes, load types)

  • Track performance observations

  • Log equipment problems reported by driver


Timeline Tab

The Timeline tab shows a chronological history of all driver-related activities and updates.

Using the Timeline

  1. Click the Timeline tab

  2. View the most recent updates at the top

  3. Expand entries to see detailed information

  4. Collapse entries for a summary view

The timeline includes:

  • Status changes

  • Assignment updates

  • Document uploads

  • Notes added

  • Settlement activities

  • Communication history

  • Accidents or incidents
