When planning the order the assigned driver can accept or reject the order. If needed the order can be force committed or force started. The Leg/Order can be forced committed or the order can be force started if:
The driver's internet connection is poor;
It was previously agreed and settled on the phone;
The driver is not IT savvy and it is easier for the driver manager to start the order.
Force Commit
When the order/leg is dispatched in the dispatch screen, the driver has to accept or reject the order/leg, after accepting it the status will change to committed.
If the driver rejects the order, or the order has to be assigned to the specific driver without waiting for the driver to accept it, the order can be force committed by pressing Force Commit:
A new window will pop up, in order to continue press YES:
The leg will be dispatched and accepted on behalf of the driver;
When an order is force committed, a notification is sent to the driver through the 10 Speed driver app. This ensures that the driver is promptly informed about the order status change and can take necessary actions accordingly;
Force Start Order
After dispatching the leg, the order has to be started. It can be done by the driver in the app, or driver manager can force start the order.
Under the Committed tab the order will appear, press on Start Order and it will be started:
A new window will pop up asking for confirmation, in order to continue press YES:
The order delivery will be started.
Taking action on behalf of a driver should always be agreed upon in advance. If an order is force started or force committed and the driver is unable to fulfill it, the order may need to be reassigned or rescheduled, depending on the circumstances and the availability of other drivers.
