Order planning screen

Accessing and explaining order planning screen

After a new order is added next order step is planning.

  • The planning screen can be accessed by pressing on Planning on the left side of the screen:

  • When pressing on it Planning screen will be shown:

Available loads

  • When the Planning screen is opened there will be Available Loads information presented.

  • In the first screen general information about the order will be presented:

    • Order ID number;

    • Leg (if there's one or more legs in the order);

    • Leg origin and destination information;

    • Miles information. More on how the miles are counted can be found here;

    • Assigned driver and truck;

    • Trailer information;

    • Stops count;

    • Leg status. More information on Leg status can be found here.

  • When pressed on the order more detailed information will be presented on the right side of the screen:

  • Information about the leg will be presented:

    • Stops information;

    • Load type information;

    • Information about driver;

    • Truck;

    • Trailer;

    • ETA;

    • Miles;

    • Delivery time duration;

    • Planner;

    • Leg status information;

  • If needed or if a mistake occurred the assets can be reassigned/changed. It can be done by clicking on Reassign assets button;

  • Appointment date/time can be rescheduled - click on the date and time:

  • If there is no Appointment date or time, it can be scheduled, press on the schedule button:

  • A new window will pop up, where the information can be changed if needed:

  • When the information is entered, press on Save;

Available Load filters

  • Filters can be applied if needed by pressing on Filters, new information will appear where filters can be added.

  • Include Origin Area (more information on Area Configuration can be found here):

    • Choose an Area of origin from the dropdown list to be included.

  • Exclude Origin Area:

    • Choose an Area of origin from the dropdown list to be excluded. This is used when two areas overlap, for instance Illinois loads can be included and Chicago loads can be excluded.

  • Destination Area:

    • Choose a destination area. This is where the driver will end the current leg or has finished the last leg.

  • Origin date:

    • Select a date of origin from the calendar which will appear when pressing on the window. This is where the orders/legs can be filtered out by pickup date.

  • Destination Date:

    • Select a destination date the calendar which will appear when pressing on the window. This is where the orders/legs can be filtered out by delivery date.

  • Division can be selected, when pressing on it dropdown list will appear - choose the division;

  • Select a planner from the dropdown list;

  • Customer can be selected from the dropdown list;

  • Truck specialty can be selected from the dropdown list;

  • Equipment type can be chosen from the list;

  • Order status can be chosen from:

    • Unplanned;

    • Planned;

    • Preplanned;

  • If needed options to show unscheduled orders can be chosen;

  • After adding needed filters press on blue search tab.

Available Units filters

  • Filters can be applied for units if needed. It can be applied by pressing on Filters.

  • Unit area can be selected from the dropdown list;

  • Division can be selected from the dropdown;

  • Truck specialty can be picked up from the dropdown list;

  • Unit equipment type can be selected from the dropdown list as well;

  • Units' company can be selected from the list;

  • When the filters are selected, press on blue search button, filters can be reset if needed:

Assigning assets

  • When planning the order, assets need to be assigned.

  • Select an order and press on it - then press add assets. More in-depth information on how to assign assets can be found here.

Split screen option

  • There is an option to split the screen or open the screen in a new window to make planning easier;

  • Press on the Single Page tab on the top of the screen and choose whichever option is the best:

  • When pressed on Split Screen the screen will be split;

  • After the screen is split the Available Loads and Available Units will be shown simultaneously.

Units availability

  • When planning an order it is crucial to check the availability of the drivers;

  • The availability can be checked by pressing on a specific driver:

  • When pressing on the driver a new window will pop up where driver availability can be seen.

  • There are two options to see the availability:

    • Weekly availability;

    • Monthly availability;


Information not visible

  • If the information about the driver is not visible, we would advise to refresh the page as the information is not presented live in the TMS.

  • The page can be refreshed by pressing the refresh button on the used system browser.
