Written by Peter

Overview

When managing a leg, you can view the details of the assigned trailer, swap it for a different one, or unassign it entirely. Trailers are assigned at the stop level when a pickup or additional stop uses a Hook or Drop & Hook load type.

Quick Answer: Open a leg, click the trailer number, and choose View, Change, or Unassign.

This article covers: Viewing, changing, and unassigning a trailer on a leg. Not covered here:

  • Assigning a trailer when creating a stop β€” see How to add a stop

  • Managing trailer records β€” see Trailers asset management

  • Viewing leg information β€” see How to view and manage leg information

Before you start

A trailer must already be assigned to the leg before you can view, change, or unassign it. To assign a trailer, add a Pickup or Additional stop with the load type set to Hook or Drop & Hook, then select the trailer from the dropdown. Enable Show all trailers if the one you need doesn't appear in the list.

How to view, change, or unassign a trailer

  1. Open the leg you want to manage.

  2. Click the trailer number shown on the leg. A menu appears with three options.

View trailer

Click View trailer to open a read-only window showing the full details of the assigned trailer.

Change trailer

  1. Click Change.

  2. Select a different trailer from the dropdown.

  3. Click Save. The new trailer is now assigned to the leg.

Unassign trailer

Click Unassign. The trailer is removed from the leg immediately.

⚠ Unassigning a trailer cannot be undone from this screen. You will need to reassign a trailer manually if you unassign by mistake.
